GOOD NEWS: Bucs’ Mike Evans Gets Ultimate Compliment From Chiefs Super Bowl Rival.THANHDUNG

When discussing the best receivers in football, Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Evans’ name will surely be in the discussion.

Since entering the league in 2014, Evans has been a beacon of consistency. He has posted 11 straight 1,000+ yard seasons, making him the only player in NFL history to achieve the feat in his first 11 years.

While it took a pass with under two minutes to go in the final regular season game, Evans got the milestone to solidify his standing as one of the greats.

But Kansas City Chiefs rookie receiver Xavier Worthy considers No. 13 the greatest of all time.

“I’m not even gonna lie, a lot of people aren’t gonna like this answer, but I feel like Mike Evans, after he’s done, is gonna be the best,” Worthy said. “I mean, if you have the most 1,000-yard seasons, that makes you the best receiver, right? That makes the most sense.”

It is certainly an interesting discussion.

Since 2014 (year Evans was drafted), he is No. 1 in yards (12,684) and touchdowns (105), No. 6 in receptions (836), No.5 in yards per game (75.5).

That is some resume, my friends.

Plus, we add in that he’s a Super Bowl winner and a six-time Pro Bowler, and you can make a case for Evans.

Worthy played at the University of Texas, well behind the class that Evans played in at Texas A&M. But they do that Lone Star State ties, which might also help explain the rookie having such a high opinion of the Bucs standout.

Worthy, by the way, is no slouch himself, exploding onto the KC scene as a first-round pick. Two weeks ago, he pitched in to the Patrick Mahomes-led offense by totaling six catches for 85 yards and one TD in the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills.

But he has a way to go to catch a guy in Evans who is obviously an idol of sorts.

Having been playing at such a high level for so long, Evans is no doubt a surefire Hall of Famer, and the time comes, but the best ever? That’s quite the topic for debate.
