Super Bowl XV: Oakland Raiders 27, Philadelphia Eagles 10

Super Bowl XV MVP Jim Plunkett threw three touchdown passes and the underdog Raiders became the first wild-card team to win a Super Bowl. Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski turned the ball over four times, including three interceptions.

Super Bowl XXXIX: New England Patriots 24, Philadelphia Eagles 21

Donovan McNabb and the underdog Eagles rallied in the fourth quarter, but came up short against the Patriots. The Eagles cut a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to 24-21 with 1:32 left. Philadelphia got the ball back with 46 seconds left at their 4-yard line. After two plays, McNabb was intercepted with 17 seconds remaining, clinching the game for New England. McNabb threw for 357 yards, but threw three interceptions and was sacked four times. Terrell Owens finished with 9 receptions for 122 yards. New England’s Deion Branch was named MVP after catching 11 passes for 133 yards.

Super Bowl LII: Philadelphia Eagles 41, New England Patriots 33

Hungry dogs run faster, and the underdog Eagles were hungry. The game will forever be remembered for the “Philly Special.” After the Patriots cut their early deficit to 15-12, the Eagles marched 70 yards in 2 minutes, capped by a trick play with Trey Burton hitting quarterback Nick Foles for a 1-yard touchdown pass. The Patriots did take a 33-32 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles put together a 7-minute drive capped by Foles hitting Zach Ertz for an 11-yard go-ahead touchdown pass. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady tried to lead New England back, but Brandon Graham sacked Brady and forced a fumble. Derek Barnett recovered it. The Eagles added a Jake Elliott field goal for the final margin. Foles was named the game’s MVP.

Super Bowl LVII: Kansas City Chiefs 38, Philadelphia Eagles 35

It was the Kelce Bowl as Eagles legend Jason Kelce and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce became the first set of brothers to play each other in the Super Bowl. The Eagles had a 24-14 lead at halftime, but the Chiefs rallied in the second half and had a 35-27 lead with 9:22 left in the game. But quarterback Jalen Hurts put together an 8-play, 65-yard drive keyed by a 45-yard pass to DeVonta Smith to the 2-yard line. Hurts scored on the next play on a 2-yard run and then converted the two-point conversion to tie the game. With 5:15 left in the game, the Chiefs put together a drive down to the Eagles 9-yard line. Harrison Butker hit a game-winning 27-yard field goal.
