The Baltimore Ravens continue to put together some of the most talented rosters in the NFL, year after year.

The Ravens have had success in the regular season — making the playoffs in six out of the last seven years — but haven’t been able to get over the hump in the ultra-competitive AFC with Josh Allen and the Bills, Joe Burrow and the Bengals and Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

On paper, the 2024 Baltimore Ravens looked like they would make a legitimate Super Bowl run.

Their offense added Derrick Henry last offseason and he gave an added dimension that forced defenses to worry about him or Jackson beating them on the ground, while still making sure not to get beat over the top for big gains through the passing game.

The Ravens finished the year with the No.1 total offense in the NFL and in a key move for 2025, just inked OC Todd Monken to a contract extension.

Defensively, the Ravens started slow in 2024 under first-year DC Zach Orr. But midway through the season, the Ravens made a couple key adjustments — including letting safety Kyle Hamilton play more of a hybrid role — and it paid off.

By the end of the year Baltimore finished with the No. 10 defensive unit in the NFL.

While as of now the Baltimore Ravens look like they will keep most of their key pieces from the 2024 squad again for another run in 2025, but they are going to have to make some adjustments on their books to free up cap space.

One of the potential cap casualties is star CB Marlon Humphrey, who is responsible for $25 million against the cap for the Ravens in 2025.

Bleacher Report’s scouting department believes the Seattle Seahawks could make a trade offer to the Ravens for Humphrey they couldn’t pass up.

They predict Seattle will send a 2025 third-round pick (No. 82 overall), 2025 fourth-round pick (No. 137 overall) and a 2025 sixth-round pick (No. 212 overall) for CB Marlon Humphrey and 2025 fifth-round pick (No. 176 overall).

This deal would require the Seahawks to make some moves to get into a better cap situation, but the idea of Macdonald bringing in one of his former Ravens to complete this secondary was too good to pass up. The Seahawks have a good duo with Witherspoon in the slot and Riq Woolen on the outside. Adding Marlon Humphrey to the mix gives them one of the best trios in the league.

The Seahawks took a huge step forward on defense in Macdonald’s first season. But that was really going from one of the league’s worst defenses to the middle of the pack. Taking another leap in 2025 will come down to what kind of personnel moves they make. This one solidifies a crucial position group.
